On December 3 and 4, 2024, at the KKL Luzern Konzertsaal, Domingo Hindoyan leads the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester in a program aptly titled Nordic Landscapes, celebrating two of Scandinavia’s most iconic composers. The evening opens with Edvard Grieg’s lyrical and atmospheric Peer Gynt, Op. 23, presented in Thomas Dausgaard’s expressive version and featuring celebrated soprano Camilla Tilling in the gentle, heartfelt music of Solveig. The concert concludes with Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 82, a majestic and radiant masterpiece that embodies the composer’s deeply Nordic sense of space, light, and grandeur.
