Domingo Hindoyan conducts Puccini’s "Madama Butterfly" at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in a production by Matthew Ozawa. The cast features Karah Son as Cio-Cio-San, Evan LeRoy Johnson as Pinkerton, Nozomi Kato as Suzuki, Zachary Nelson as Sharpless, Rodell Rosel as Goro, Jongwon Han as the Bonze, Sihao Hu as Prince Yamadori, Alexis Peart as Kate Pinkerton, Christopher Humbert Jr. as the Imperial Commissioner, and Sankara Harouna as the Registrar, alongside Kimberly McCord as Butterfly’s Cousin, Yvette Smith as Butterfly’s Mother, Emily Price as Butterfly’s Aunt, and Jared V. Esguerra as Butterfly’s Uncle.   Performances take place on March 14, 19, 22, 25, 28, and 31, and April 6, 9, and 12, 2026.   The Venezuelan maestro first appeared with the LOC leading the Stars of Lyric Opera at Millennium Park concert before making his acclaimed mainstage debut in 2018, conducting Puccini’s "La bohème".
